Robert E. "Bob" Renison, longtime Chelmsford resident, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, at his home.
He was born in Santa Barbara, CA in 1941 and was the beloved son of Helen and William Renison.

Bob was raised in Hyde Park and in Wellesley where he graduated from high school and was known for his "Fonzi" like aura as a teenager. He has lived in Chelmsford since he retired as a cab driver. Bob was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He owned a boat and enjoyed sailing in his spare time. Most importantly, Bob was a family man who was known for his infectious sense of humor, generosity, and good advice. He was a peaceful and kind hearted man. Bob will be greatly missed by his family, especially his brother Bill, with whom he had a lifelong loving relationship.

Bob is survived by his daughters; Lynda Durham and Karen Kangiser both of Avon, his brother, Bill Renison and his dear companion Patricia Needham of North Chelmsford, his grandchildren; Jennifer May of Norton, Joseph Kangiser of Avon, and Concetta Duphily and her husband Jeff of Attleboro, his great-grandchildren; Logen and Bryan May, Violet Kangiser, Braylon and Summer Duphily, and his dear cousins; Kathleen Donnellan of Natick, Kevin Hines of Falmouth, Elaine Barry of Dorchester, and Lila Ruane of Wenatchee, WA. Bob is predeceased by his son Robert E. Renison, Jr.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the MSPCA, 352 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 or mspca.org.
