James Parechanian of Leominster MA passed away March 29, 2019.

He was born on December 6, 1916, the son of the late Setrag Parechanian
and Memezzar (Mary) Parechanian of Fitchburg, Ma.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years, Stella Aharonian
Parechanian, sister Betty (Parechanian) Donabedian, of Fitchburg, sister Mary
(Parechanian) Boyajian of Watertown and sister, Sara (Parechanian) Marshall of
Billings, Montana.

He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Ann (Parechanian)
Lauria and son-in-law Vincent P. Lauria, of Scottsdale, Arizona, son Vincent J.
Parechanian and daughter-in-law Phyllis (Silk) Parechanian of West Palm Beach, FL,
sister Rose Surenian and her husband Vahe of Manasquan,N.J.
Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and close friends.

When Jim and Stella were married in 1944, they settled in Fitchburg, MA
and eight years later moved to Leominster, MA. For the past 6 years, Jim has been
living with his daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Vincent Lauria in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jim worked more than 45 years for Fitchburg Engineering, a well respected machine
shop in its time. Jim held the position of "Cutter Grinder" which is a lost craft
in today's machine trade. One of the company's world famous products was the
"Wood Chipper Machine" that we still see in use today by many tree service companies. Jim loved all sports, and was an avid bowler for many years. Wood working, gardening, and his love for animals were all passions of his.
He will be sadly missed by his family, many close friends and neighbors.

A small private family service will be held at a later date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Dad's name to: Sts Vartanatz Armenian Church, 180 Old Westford Road, Chelmsford, MA. 01824.

Private Condolence

Janet Fickett

Having recognized the name, it is with sincere words that I extend to each of you my condolences at this time, as my late husband, Bob Fickett, of Fitchburg Engineering Corp. would wish me to do. I remember many times hearing Bob speak of "Jimmy" as being such a devoted and caring worker. It was with amazement that I read the sentences in your write-up in the Sentinel pertaining to Fitchburg Engineering and the chipper. So very, very gracious of you in this time of your own grief. Thank you so very, very much for those words, and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Yours most sincerely, Janet Fickett
