Obituary for Yvette M. Beaudoin (Michaud)

Yvette M. Beaudoin, 98 years of age, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, February 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Beaudoin with whom she enjoyed 55 years of marriage.

She was born in Winthrop, Maine on March 22,1924 and was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Marguerite G. (Lagasse) Michaud.

She graduated from Ave Maria Academy in Winthrop, ME and worked as a bookkeeper for Winthrop Spinning Co. after graduation. In her career, she was also an Avon lady, a bookkeeper at Sears & Roebuck, and a Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service until she retired.

She was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her favorite activity, of which she was most proud, was her avid interest in investing and the stock market. She very successfully managed all our family accounts until she was 91 years old.

We want to thank Sunny Acres for their care. She loved their activities, especially Bingo, and she was very happy there. We also want to send our gratitude to Margaret Wanjiru and Elizabeth Mungai for the care they gave mom during her years at home.

Yvette is survived by two daughters, Claire M. Beaudoin of Chelmsford and Doris S. Vendetti and her husband Joseph of Townsend; a son Robert H. Beaudoin and his wife Sharon of Dracut; five grandchildren, Nicholas Vendetti, Christopher Vendetti and his wife Katie with their children Logan and Olivia, Joseph Vendetti and his wife Bailey with their children Ava and Isabel, Christopher Beaudoin, and Samantha Beaudoin with her daughter Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also the sister of the late Maurice Michaud, Marcel Michaud, and Bertrand Michaud.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 15th from 8:30-10am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Center.
