Obituary for Suzanne M. Anderson (Griffin)
Suzanne M. (Griffin) Anderson, age 76, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at High Pointe House on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Glenn Anderson with whom she enjoyed almost 52 years of marriage.
Suzanne was born in Ithaca, NY on September 05, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Bernardi) Griffin.
She was educated in Ithaca, NY schools including Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School. After high school, she attended nursing school in Rochester, NY. She was employed by New York Gas and Electric prior to her marriage.
Suzanne raised a family of three children and was employed at ABC Nursery School for more than 25 years. She was active in her children’s schools, girl scouts and garden club. She enjoyed traveling, home decoration and remodeling, reading, cooking classes, spending time with friends, family and her grandchildren.
Suzanne is survived by her children; Jennifer Marie Anderson of North Chelmsford; Michelle Leigh (Anderson) Barbin and her husband Christopher Barbin of Natick and David Michael Anderson and his wife Jessica (Wolf) of Los Angeles, CA., her four grandchildren; Jackson Thomas Barbin, Ella Elizabeth Barbin, Noah Oliver Anderson and Charlotte Avery Anderson, her brother Thomas Griffin and his wife Nancy of Alameda, CA. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 17th from 4pm to 7pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Masks are kindly required. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Suzanne’s memory to High Pointe House at homehealthfoundation.org.
