I met Stella after George was unable to bring their cars in for service at the dealership where i worked. I would help her out by picking her car up and bringing it back to her after it was done. She would always have funny stories to tell and was delightful to sit and chat with for awhile. Stella would also mention how helpful her family was to her. I will miss those visits and chats. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know Stella and want to extend my sincere sympathies to her family.

I am shocked and saddened to know that Stella passed away.
Stella was a wonderful friend, who extended me the most warm welcome when I joined the History Department at UML in the 1990s. She gave me much support when I was a junior faculty member. We became good friends and I treasured her friendship. I will forever remember her kindness, her gentleness, and her friendship.
May Stella rest in peace.
Deepest sympathies to Stella's family and loved ones.
