Obituary

Stanley R. Marson, 87, formerly a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 6, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Pearse) with whom he enjoyed 63 years of marriage.

He was born in Medford, MA on September 15, 1933 and was the son of the late William and Doris (Marshall) Marson.

He graduated from Medford High School and completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Lowell Technological Institute in 1975. He served 6 years in the US Navy aboard the submarine USS Tirante. He was a retired business owner of an electronics distribution company. Stanley was a Charter Member of Aldersgate UMC and was active in DeMolay and the Masons in his younger years. He was active in Youth League coaching and loved the Boston sports teams! He was an avid golfer. Often at home, you could find him with a cribbage board and deck of cards.

In addition to his loving wife, Stanley is survived by his children, Cheryl (Marson) Schroeder and her husband Leonard, Lisa Marson and her partner Kathleen Albee, Stan Marson, Jr., Adam Marson and his wife Ellen, Forrest Marson, and Jan Marson and his wife Kim; his cherished grandchildren, Brendon, Elizabeth and Ryan Schroeder, Noah and Sarah Marson, and Samantha Marson.

A celebration of life at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chelmsford will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
