Obituary

Shawn P. Berube, 46, formerly of Westford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston on Friday, April 23, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Meghan (Lambert) Berube with whom he shared 10 years of marriage, but 23 years together.

He was born in Lowell on May 2, 1974 and was raised in Westford, attending Westford Academy.

Shawn was a true craftsman. He worked at the family business alongside his father for many years, PS Berube Construction in Townsend.

Shawn was a loving husband and father to his two young children whom he adored. He was a hardworking man, who was generous with his time and always put his family first. Shawn was a down to earth, regular guy, who enjoyed Nascar, chatting with friends and time with his family.

In addition to his wife Meghan, Shawn also leaves behind his two children; Stacia and Andrew Berube, his father, Peter Berube and Nancy Chapman, his brother, Jeffrey Berube and his wife Beth, his sister, Amanda Bashford, his nieces and nephews; Madison, Mariah, Joshua, Olivia and Deryk, his cherished friends who are more like family, Samuel “Fuzz” Enrico and Jessica Hardy.

Shawn was sadly predeceased by his mother, Janet Berube who passed away in 2015.

I met Shawn years ago on a job I can't even remember. We immediately became good friends. When it came time to do my addition he was right there with me every day and without him I never would have finished it. It seems like we often lose the good ones and that is exactly the case here. He never thought of himself first and he could never hurt another living thing. I am really going to miss him and I cherish all the time I was able to spend with him. love you shawnny b
