Obituary for Shana Gail Patenaude (Farrell)

Shana G. (Farrell) Patenaude, age 50, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away at her home in Lowell on Sunday, November 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Scott Patenaude with whom she enjoyed 26 years of marriage.

She was born in Lowell on February 5, 1972 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Farrell and Maura (Sullivan) LaVie.

Shana was educated in the Lowell School system and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School. She later earned her nursing degree from the Adult LPN program at GLTHS. Shana was all about her family, nothing was more important to her than her children. She loved watching her kids play sports, whether it was a softball, baseball or a football game, she was there. If she wasn’t with her kids she was always up for a ride to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun or some place that had slots. Shana previously worked at C’est LaVie in Lowell and later was employed at D’Youville Senior Care Center as a CNA. She was tremendously proud that she had become an LPN and was able to work with her mother, who was also a nurse at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell. Shana most recently worked at Alternative Home Health Care in Methuen as a visiting nurse, and a QI nurse.

In addition to her husband, Shana is survived by her daughters, Erica Patenaude and her fiancé Luis Jiminian, Allie Patenaude and her boyfriend Dylan Del Priore, and Ava Patenaude; her son, Scotty Patenaude; her grandchildren, Abraham Jiminian, and Grayson Del Priore; and her brothers, Sean Farrell, and Eric Farrell. Shana was blessed to have so many great friends that cared about her. A special thank you to Chris Balakin for taking great care of Shana during the last year.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 5pm to 8pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Interment will be held privately.
