Samuel Shaumba, 77, MD of Framingham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday , April 8th, 2021 surrounded his family.
He was born on June 1st, 1943 in Mutare, South Rhodesia now called Zibambwe , Africa . Son of Dr. Pierre and Mrs. Theresa ( Nyemunda) Shaumba.
He went to Athenee Royale de Luluabourg at Kananga Region , in DRC for Primary and Secondary School. He pursued his under graduate studies in Indianapolis, where he majored in Biology and Pre Med. He then continued his graduate studies at University of Boston (BU) where he obtained his medical Doctoral degree with Honor (of course) in 1970.
Dr. Samuel Yandje Shaumba was often called a son of prayer, a miracle baby because his parents had him late in their lives. Shaumba truly knew the Lord , even on the day of his passing, Samuel Yandje stated : “I am looking at the man upstairs”
Surgeon Shaumba survived by his lovely wife whom he called “Nyamena”, by many children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers and cousins, in USA, Europe, Congo and around the world.
A proud son of Congo, A man of Deep Faith and Conviction is gone but NEVER forgotten, his memory will endure forever.
Viewing hours will be held on Friday. April 23rd, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford , MA. Funeral and Worship Service will be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at 8:30 am at the same location. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
