Rosemary Meehan Tator, age 72, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Dorchester, MA on March 3, 1950, the daughter of John P. and June (Schaillee) Meehan.
Rosemary grew up in Lexington, MA. She attended Lexington Academy of the Holy Cross for Kindergarten through 8th grade, followed by Matignon High School of Cambridge, and Lexington High School, graduating in 1968. She went on to pursue an ever-growing career in sales and marketing leadership, entrepreneurship, management consulting, coaching and motivational speaking. Her career was full of highlights including at Atex Publishing Systems of Bedford, MA, where she served as the Director of International Marketing. She co-founded Greenpages Inc., a corporate computer value added reseller of Kittery, ME where she served as their Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. She founded Avalon Solutions Inc., a computer solutions provider, and served as President and CEO. She then transitioned to work as a management consultant, trainer, motivational speaker, and executive coach for her own firm 2beffective LLC, as the Principal Partner which she continued until her death. During this time, she co-authored the book “More Time for You: A Powerful System to Organize Your Work and Get Things Done” with Alesia Latson, and coached countless professionals in greater effectiveness in their careers while reducing their stress and living lives they loved.
In addition to work, Rosemary also played competitive bridge and served on the board of the Eastern Massachusetts Bridge Association. In the last five years of her life as she battled mucosal melanoma, a rare cancer, Rosemary spent time connecting with and encouraging others living with this rare and deadly disease through the Mucosal Melanoma
Warriors Facebook Group. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved to be by the water on Cape Cod. She loved to support everyone she knew in living lives they loved.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter Angel (Dunn) Jackson of Chelmsford and her son-in-law Ian Jackson, and three grandchildren Samuel, Matthew and Emily Jackson, with whom she lived since 2018. She was a loving sister to Jack Meehan of Jefferson, ME, June Gabriel of Dunedin, FL, Maureen Meehan of Quechee, VT, Michael Meehan of Winchester, MA, Theresa Meehan of Edgartown, MA and Colleen Haynes of North Andover, MA. She will be dearly missed by her sisters-in-law Adrienne Meehan and Beatrice Meehan and brother-in-law Bob Gabriel. She was dearly loved “Auntie Rose” to her nieces Meghan Durkee, Stacey Gabriel, Shalei Holway, Allei Holway, Natasha Meehan and Molly Haynes and nephews Dennis Meehan, Conor Holway, Antoine Meehan and Sean Haynes as well as great niece Hayley Meehan and great nephews JJ Meehan, Tommy Durkee and Kelly Durkee. Rosemary is also survived by hundreds of amazing friends and colleagues who she loved dearly and who provided inspiration for all she did. Rosemary is preceded in death by her two cherished parents June and John Meehan.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday April 12, 2022, between 5:00PM and 7:00PM at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 13, 2022, at 9:00AM at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT CHURCH. Livestreaming of the Mass is available at
St Mary Livestream. Interment will follow in Heart Pond Cemetery 14 Garrison Rd., Chelmsford. The Meehan family requests all attendees join them at the Tewksbury Country Club for a reception in honor of Rosemary's life immediately following the interment. Rosemary's sister Theresa Meehan will share stories on behalf of family and friends gathered in honor of Rosemary. We will share food, toast to her, and remember her together. Melanoma Research Alliance which funds research for Mucosal Melanoma the rare form of Melanoma that took Rosemary’s life. More research can save the lives of others living with the disease.
