Obituary for Robert "Bob" Kasparian
Robert “Bob” Kasparian, age 78, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Palavras) Kasparian with whom he enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
He was born in Cambridge, MA and was the son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Ganimian) Kasparian. Growing up in Dorchester, MA, he proudly worked for the family business, Kaspar Brothers Market, and enjoyed summers on Cape Cod with family and friends from Marshfield to Buzzards Bay, MA.
Bob was a graduate of Boston English in 1962 and a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1967. He started and ended his career in Pharmacy and spent the decades between dedicated to the field of Orthopedics, working for companies such as Merck, 3M and Arthrex.
Bob had a unique warmth and ability to light up a room. His true passions were golfing, skiing and traveling with family and friends. He loved spending time with his sons, and enjoyed coaching their little league and basketball teams when they were younger. He was a volunteer of the Mt. Snow Ski Patrol for over 40 years before retiring in 2017, and he considered his patrol buddies to be his family up north. His enthusiasm for music was a mainstay throughout his life, and he enjoyed many nights “jammin’ with the band” in Vermont. Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, and especially enjoyed trips taken with his four granddaughters, whom he adored. Family was very important to him, and he always looked forward to the Kasparian Family Picnics and Thanksgiving celebrations each year.
In addition to his loving wife, Bob is survived by his children, David and his wife Lisa of Dover, MA, and Michael and his wife Kimberly of Carlisle, MA. He was the loving Grampy to Ava, Ella, Mia and Kelsey. He cherished the deep roots and closeness of the extended Kasparian family and was a dear friend to many.
He was a proud brother to, and is predeceased by his brothers Joe Kasparian of Quincy, MA and Chuck Kasparian of Watertown, MA.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9am to 10:30am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford followed by his funeral service at the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
