Obituary for Robert W. Ellis
Robert W. Ellis, 85, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Pierro) Ellis with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on February 24, 1937, and was a son of the late Stanley and Frances (Holt) Ellis.
Bob was raised in Lowell, and educated in the Lowell School system. He settled in Chelmsford where he raised his family. Proudly, he was an Eagle Scout. He worked for 50 years as a supervisor for Massachusetts Electric until his retirement in 2008. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the saxophone in a band called “The Emeralds” for 25 years. His biggest pride and joy other than his family was his summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Tuftonboro, NH.
In addition to his loving wife, Robert leaves his children, Robert Ellis and his wife Catherine of Nashua, NH, Donna Juarez and her husband Andres of Belchertown, and Carolyn Niven of W. Townsend; his grandchildren Patricia Ellis of Merrimack, NH, Ian, Robert, and Pablo Juarez of Belchertown, and Max Niven of W. Townsend; and his brother Stanley Ellis and his wife JoAnne of Falmouth. He also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please spread random acts of kindness.
