Obituary for Rita L. Matton
Rita L. Matton, age 88, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
She was born in Peabody, MA on August 4, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Agnes (Julien) Matton. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force before joining the Postal Service where she spent 35 years before retiring. Rita is survived by her niece Lynn Sullivan and her husband Tim Sullivan of Windham, NH. She was sadly predeceased by her two brothers, Richard Matton & Leo Matton.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1pm at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford. Masks are kindly required.
