Obituary for Raymond H Rose

Raymond H. Rose, a resident of Chelmsford for 43 years, passed away at his home on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the company of his beloved family. In October he celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage to his loving wife, Judith (Cleigh) Rose.

He was born in Salem, MA on December 8, 1944 and was the son of the late Francis Raymond and Evelyn (Brown) Rose.

Ray loved the community of Marblehead where he grew up and received his early education, graduating from Marblehead High School with the class of 1962. He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. After graduation, Ray went to work for Raytheon Corp eventually retiring from the company. In his early years, Ray loved to play tennis and later enjoyed monthly card games with his co-workers. He had many nicknames. He was known as Skip to some, "Ray-Ray" to others and "Gup" to his loving grandchildren, whom he adored.

In addition to his beloved wife, Ray leaves a son, Jason Rose and his wife Mary of Livonia, MI, a daughter, Sarah Rodrigues and her husband Anthony of Westwood, MA, and five grandchildren; AJ, Talia and Rocco Rodrigues and Ethan and Archie Rose. He also leaves a sister Barbara Rose of Marblehead and a sister-in-law, Jill Greene and her family, as well as several cousins.

Raymond's family would like to thank the extended family, friends, and caregivers for their love, care, and support.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o'clock on Thursday at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH.

Interment in Waterside Cemetery, 294 West Shore Drive, Marblehead at 1:30 pm.
