Obituary for Raoul J. "Ralph" LeBlanc

Raoul J. “Ralph” LeBlanc, 81, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Care Dimensions Hospice House, Lincoln, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Bastarache) LeBlanc with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

He was born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick, Canada, on April 14, 1939, and was a son of the late Antoine and Albertha (Poirier) LeBlanc.

Raoul was raised and educated in Canada and moved to the United States in 1959. He had worked as a carpenter in construction his entire life until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Stony Brook Fish & Game Association and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in Maine. Raoul especially adored spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Raoul leaves his son, Mark LeBlanc and his wife, Mary of Boston; his siblings, Antoinette Mazerolle and her husband, Regis of Maynard, Romeo LeBlanc and his wife, Solange of Clinton, Homere LeBlanc and his wife, Catherine of Illinois, Bernard LeBlanc and his wife, Bertha of New Brunswick, Canada, Francois LeBlanc of Waltham, Harvey LeBlanc and his wife, Rose-Marie of New Brunswick, Canada and many nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he is reunited in Heaven with his brothers, the late Rodrique LeBlanc and Bertin J. F. "Bert" LeBlanc.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Raoul’s memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to Care Dimensions Hospice House, 75 Sylvan Street, B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
