Obituary for Paula L. McNiff (Anderson)
Paula L. (Anderson) McNiff passed away peacefully on Saturday August 20, 2022 after an extended illness, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Donald McNiff with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.
She was born in Chelmsford on January 7, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Paul “Red” and Geraldine (Daly) Anderson.
She was raised in Chelmsford, and educated in Chelmsford Public Schools. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing as an LPN and Rivier University with an associate degree in nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Paula worked for many years at St. John’s Hospital, now Lowell General Hospital, and Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her stepdaughter Jillian Villemaire and her husband Jared, their 3 children, Colin, Westley, and Kira, her cousins, and many friends.
Paula was a proud member of the healthcare profession. She would stop to assist at an accident, help a neighbor who was ill or injured, and assist other residents at the long-term care facility where she resided. Her true passion was to assist her parents with their healthcare needs.
Graveside services will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery at a future date. Memorial donations may be made in Paula's name to Rivier University School of Nursing, 420 S. Main St., Nashua, NH 03060. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
