Obituary for Paul R. Golden

Paul R. Golden, age 87, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away on October 4th. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (McIntyre) Golden with whom he enjoyed 27 years of marriage. He was born in Lawrence on December 29, 1934 and was the son of the late Paul and Lydia (Bisson) Golden.

Paul attended Central Catholic High School and Fisher Junior College. Paul was an Air Force veteran who proudly served his country in the Korean War. After his military service, Paul owned a small business in Philadelphia and subsequently moved back to Massachusetts to be closer to his family. Paul had a long career in the defense industry where he worked in electronics at General Electric until his retirement. Paul was an avid reader who loved sports, spending time laughing with his countless friends, golfing, a good card game and a well-made Manhattan.

Paul is survived by his children Tim Golden and his wife Kara of Great Falls, VA, his daughter Jeanine Golden of Chelmsford, Ron Ward of Shirley and Mark Ward of Chelmsford. Paul is also survived by his many loving grandchildren, Alexandria, Paul, Shannon, Meghan, Caitlin, Brendan and Krystal, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved partner Rebecca Biggar of Chelmsford.

Paul was predeceased by his brother Bill Golden of Little Rock, AR, his sister June Gaudette of Lawrence and his loving aunt Edith Rogers of Methuen.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9am-10:30am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Funeral Service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
