Patricia E. (Sturtevant) O’Connor, 65, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, June 26, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA.

She was born on January 23, 1955, in Lowell, the daughter of Albert W. Sturtevant Jr. and Gladys E. (LeBoeuf) Sturtevant. Patricia “Pat” currently lived in Lowell where she was also raised and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She later resided in Chelmsford where she raised her daughters with her former husband Timothy
O’Connor Jr., of Punta Gorda, FL.

Besides her children, grandson, and extended family, her main passions included sewing, art, photography, and all things crafty. She was a skilled artist who explored several mediums over the years and also ran her own business. In her earlier years, she was never without a needle and thread as she held several positions as a seamstress and made clothing for her daughters. She combined her love of stitching into computer design and learned the trade of embroidery digitizing where she created her own logo templates and worked as a contractor for several firms. More recently she dove into the world of paper and leather design crafting, even constructing her own handcrafted greeting cards and jewelry. She was always creating something and had a keen eye for detail and design. All of her work was joyful, funny, inspirational, and beautiful. Most of all she loved to laugh, spending her downtime watching comedies, listening to music, and cracking jokes. She would love to laugh with you and always sought to lighten the mood even when the world could be grim. She was sweet, beautiful, and above all full of kindness.

Patricia leaves her daughters and their significant others; Tara O’Connor and Patrick Gilbride Jr., of Ashburnham, Katie O’Connor and Charles LeMaire of San Diego, CA, and her beloved grandson Levon LeMaire of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her sister Peggy McLeod and her husband Richard of Lowell, MA, and her brother Ronald Sturtevant and his wife Ellen of Plymouth, MA, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is predeceased by her sisters Gayle McDonald and Dorothy Kimmel formerly of Dracut and Lowell, brother Albert William Sturtevant III, and her parents Albert and Gladys. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Due to gathering limitations, Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Glioblastoma Foundation

The early 70s was a great time to be in Lowell High School and meet, then date Pat. I will always keep our memories in my heart... Tarot cards, that Cannon 35mm camera she saved so hard to buy, Princeton Blvd and then Norcross St., off to Connecticut, and most of all Knights in White Satin... "cause I love you"

I went to school with Pat and Peggy. I remember when maxi skirts were intoduced and they were the first ones to show up wearing them, they got alot of stares 😊 I have more good memories of Pat, she was a great person, loved her smile and personality. My deepest condolences to her family. RIP Pat 💕🙏

Over 50 years ago we met and the 3 of us, me, Pat & Peg spent nearly every day together from jr. high through high school and beyond, trying not to get in too much trouble! Endless fun doing nearly nothing but everything as well...Pat was very creative and independent way before other girls...I definitely emulated her in my own pursuit of photography and sewing, she led me down many roads during her life. We cared more about books than boys, spirit than money, freedom than definition...and that is how she lived and raised her precious children. There are not enough of the right words ever when you lose your mother, Katie & Tara, or your sister, Peggy & Ron, or your Grandmother, Levon. May you find peace in your loving memories. My Sister-in Spirit, Pat, this tag S.I.S that you gave me 50+ years ago is a bright light of love in my whole life. Love Love Love You Forever.

My heart goes out to all of Pat's friends and family. I know I haven't seen Pat in many years but it seems like it was just yesterday. We had many laughs together over the years. I pray that she is in total peace and out of any pain or discomfort in her new everlasting spiritual life until we all meet again. All my prayers a blessings being sent.

I've have know Pat for over 40 years, she was a beautiful person, loving mom, she was family. She was such a creative person. I will always treasure our last conversation together a little over a month ago. We talked about life and she was very optimistic about the future. She tried to stay strong, she didn't get angry about her sickness, she was a fighter, she didn't want this to get in her way of enjoying her family and her everyday life. We will never know why things happen the way they do, they say it's for a reason. not sure why. I hope she will be united by all our beautiful loved ones we have lost recently. May god give Katie and Tara the strength to go on for her mom, she would want you both to be strong for her. She will always be close to our hearts everyday and to be part of us, as we walk through this life together. Love you forever, Sharon, John, Derek, and Jordan (from heaven)
