Obituary for Patricia A. O'Connell
Patricia A. O’Connell, 81, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her home.
She was born in the Bronx, New York, on October 7, 1941, and was the daughter of the late William H. and Louise J. (Andersen) O’Connell.
Patricia grew up in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. She earned an A.S. Degree from Northeastern University. Pat worked as an administrative assistant at Raytheon Company and Millipore Corporation. She enjoyed music, theater, poetry, and genealogy. She was a longtime and active member of Central Congregational Church, Chelmsford and loved singing in the choir.
Patricia is survived by her cousins, Gail B. Andersen of Quincy, Harold K. and Joyce Andersen of Westminster, MD, Janet C. Von Handorf of Nashua, NH, Joan P. Seneschal of Nashua, NH, Christine E. Andersen of Shirley, and Thomas A. Andersen of Portland, OR. Among her close and loving friends were Nancy J. Crowther and Kerith Rossetti of Billerica, and Carolyn J. Plausky and family of Chelmsford.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11 am at Central Congregational Church, UCC, One Worthen St., Chelmsford. Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Central Congregational Church, UCC, Music Fund.
