Obituary for Patricia A. Kidder (Clark)

Patricia A. Kidder, age 68, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at her home on January 23, 2022. She was born in Lowell on December 11, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Gerald and Barbara (Nickerson) Clark.

Patricia was a graduate of Lowell High School, the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and Salem State College, where she received her Master of Social Work. She worked for over two decades in administration at several local nursing homes before becoming a Healthcare Facility Surveyor for the State of Massachusetts, a role she treasured until she retired in 2020. Patricia was passionate about helping others and was a fierce advocate for the individuals and families she encountered, believing strongly that everyone is deserving of safety, dignity and respect.

However, Patricia’s joy was her family, and her proudest role was as a mother. She was at her best when she was with her children, grandchildren and their friends, proudly attending sporting events, school functions and graduations across the East Coast and Midwest. Patricia spent time at Seabrook Beach with her extended family every summer of her life—vacations that were filled with stops for “beach pizza,” dinners at Ceal’s Clam Stand, lots of laughter and a bit of good-natured gossip along the shore with generations of cousins. She was funny, she was kind and she was deeply loved.

Patricia is survived by her two children, Kristen Kidder and her husband, Cory Forman, of Nyack, NY, and Jeffrey Kidder and his wife, Emily, of Berkeley Heights, NJ; her four grandchildren, Charlotte, Sam and Harry Forman, and Aralyn Kidder; her sisters Kathryn Connor of Dracut, MA, and Debra Magliozzi of Plaistow, NH; her brothers-in-law Louis Connor and Joseph Magliozzi; and her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 27th from 3pm to 6pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Kindly meet at Church. Masks are required. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Chelmsford Food Pantry.
