Obituary for Patricia A. Cree (Flynn)

Patricia “Patty” Ann (Flynn) Cree, 61, of Chelmsford, MA, passed away on July 15, 2023. She was born on March 28, 1962, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Martin and Joan Flynn. Patty was a caring, thoughtful, social, and loving individual who touched the lives of many. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and nurse.

Patty dedicated 25 years of her life to a fulfilling career as a nurse. Her expertise spanned across various roles including hospice nurse, visiting nurse, geriatric nurse, and palliative nurse. She made a significant impact on the lives of her patients, providing them with comfort and care during their most vulnerable moments. Even out of her nursing uniform, Patty thrived in the medical setting. Friends and family would always seek medical advice from her, and she prided herself on her ability to lend her expertise and care whenever possible. Prior to her career as a nurse, she worked at Raytheon for over 15 years.

Patty was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 37 years. “Patty and Dave” were two peas in a pod, and through thick and thin, showed us all what a supportive, loving marriage is all about. Patty was a proud mother of two daughters, Michelle (Cree) Biasella and Allison Cree. She never missed an opportunity to brag about “the girls” and provided them a childhood full of beautiful memories. Patty cherished moments with her precious grandchildren, Liliana, and Luke Biasella, and loved being their “Mimi.”

Outside of her professional life, Patty enjoyed many interests and activities throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays, dining out with her family, going to the movies, treating herself to a fresh pedicure, and taking in the breeze down at Heart Pond. A blue-sky day at Hampton Beach State Park and a perfectly made Dunkin's iced coffee were some of her simple pleasures.

Patty was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. She attended Fitchburg State College, where she met her other half. She was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Technical School Practical Nursing Program, where she honed her skills and passion for nursing.

Patty is survived by her husband, David Cree of Chelmsford, MA, her daughter Allison Cree of Bellingham, MA, and her daughter Michelle Biasella (Cree) and husband Nicholas Biasella of Marlborough, MA. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Flynn) Weilbrenner and husband Robert Weilbrenner of Worcester, MA, her sister Kathleen (Flynn) Huddleston and husband Doug Huddleston of Bradenton, FL, and her brother Michael Flynn of Tewksbury, MA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Liliana and Luke Biasella of Marlborough, MA, her nephews Nicholas Weilbrenner and Matthew Weilbrenner of Worcester, MA, her niece Sara Huddleston and nephew Sean Huddleston of Bradenton, FL, and her nephew Nicholas Bernardo and niece Alexandra Bernardo of New Bedford, MA. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Martin, and Joan Flynn.

Patty's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

Visiting hours to celebrate Patty’s life will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4-7pm at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, MA.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately.

Patty's family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, you spend time doing something that brings you joy. In memory of her impactful career as a nurse, contributions can be made to the Massachusetts Nurses' Association or a charity of your choice.
