Obituary for Nancy T. Morrell (Todd)

Nancy T. (Todd) Morrell, 88, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on March 30th at D’Youville Senior Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Morrell who passed away in 1970.

She was born in Billerica on September 25, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Forrest W. and Etta A. (Brown) Todd.

Nancy was raised in Billerica and was a graduate of Howe High School. She then settled in Chelmsford after her marriage to raise her family. For over twenty years, Nancy worked as a secretary at Chelmsford High School. She then went on to work part time for Community Teamwork, Inc. in Lowell. Nancy took great pride in her home, and hosted many cookouts by the pool. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the beach followed by seafood lunches, shopping trips and chatting on the phone. Most of all, Nancy cherished the time she spent with her family.

Nancy leaves her children; John K. Morrell of Lowell, and Kimberly M. Hatfield and her husband Kevin of Tyngsborough, her five grandchildren; Edward Morrell, Jackie Morrell, Heather Brunini, Victoria Breslin, and Tiffany Polak, and her ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her longtime dear friend Theresa Cox of Lowell, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is predeceased by her sisters; Ethel Nicholls, Marion Palmieri, Dorothy Donnellan, and Rhoda Wells, and her brother Charles Todd.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 9:30am – 11:30am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation at 12pm. Interment to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
