Obituary for Nancy L. Leccese (Muzzioli)
Nancy L. Leccese, age 81, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Stephen C. Leccese with whom she enjoyed 60 years of marriage.
She was born in Somerville and was the daughter of the late Medardo and Marion (Whitaker) Muzzioli.
Nancy graduated from Somerville High School in 1959 and spent 30 years of her career working for Sears where she made wonderful friendships.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden and going to Old Silver Beach Cape Cod with her family. She travelled with her husband, family, and friends to many places, including Italy, Hawaii, Aruba, Bermuda, and Florida. She loved baking, music boxes and taking a ride in a hot air balloon on her 50th birthday. She dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandson.
In addition to her loving husband, Nancy is survived by her daughter Kim Mariotti and her husband Mark, her son Scott Leccese, her grandchildren Marissa, Nicholas and Krista Mariotti, her great grandson Vincenzo Mariotti, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Paul Muzzioli, and her sister Linda Doody.
To her wonderful caretakers, Shakirah Namagala, Winnie Kyasimiire, and especially Aisha Nsubuga, who provided the constant care and companionship to Nancy for many years. We are forever grateful for and appreciative of all your assistance, comfort, and support. Also, thank you to everyone from VNA Care Hospice, especially Michelle Morfins, Suzanne Morabito, and Oya Colik who helped us take such great care of Nancy during her last days.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 11th from 4pm to 7pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
