Obituary for Nancy L. Goodick

Nancy L. Goodick, 65, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on January 15, 1957 in Winchester and was a daughter of the late Donald L., Sr. and Lois M. (Thompson) Goodick.

She lived in West Medford and Westwood before moving to Chelmsford. She graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1975. She received a B.S. in Applied Math in 1980 from Brown University. Nancy was a charter member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at Brown. She continued her education earning an MBA from Boston University. She went to work for Massachusetts Electric (National Grid) where she stayed for thirty-five years until her retirement in 2015.

Nancy was active in her church serving on many committees. She and her friends loved to bake cookies at Christmas time, create greeting cards and other craft items. She volunteered with Belle of the Ball organization to provide happiness for young women.

Nancy is survived by her brother Donald L. Goodick, Jr. and his wife Melinda of Chelmsford, and her nephews, Gabriel and Ezekiel Goodick and an aunt in Sandy Point, Nova Scotia, Valda Bush.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 10 am in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 242 Boston Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. At the request of the family, masks are required for all services. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
