Obituary for Mary E. Dupuis (Dulac)

Mary E. (Dulac) Dupuis, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2021 at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Dupuis with whom she shared 62 years of marriage until his passing in June 2020.

She was born in Cambridge, MA on November 11, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Leon and Eleanor (Qualters) Dulac.

Mary was a wonderful human being and loved by all who knew her. A gentle soul, she was a loving and caring person who would do anything to help someone in need. Mary loved her family. Her grandchildren have some very funny memories of times they spent with her. She had a great sense of humor and a very contagious laugh. She grew up in Belmont, MA and attended Boston University, where she met her husband. She dedicated her life to teaching and had a long career working in the Chelmsford School System. While teaching, she became friends with other teachers who in turn, became a group of lifelong friends. They took vacations together, trips to Mexico, the Caribbean and other destinations. She loved to golf, and she and her husband belonged to Nabnasset Country Club for years. They had a summer home in Newport, VT where she loved to be the most. They played golf almost every day. She loved to sit out on the enclosed glass porch to read, watch the hummingbirds and enjoy the peacefulness.

Mary leaves her children; Renee Miglionico and her husband Anthony of Milton, NH, Denise Osterfield and her husband Timothy of Townsend, MA and Michele Hudson and Thom Pare of Chelmsford, MA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
