Obituary for Marilyn D Bergholm (Hansen)

Marilyn D. (Hansen) Bergholm, passed away peacefully at her home in Westford on Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born in Chelmsford to Peter G. and Dorothy M. (Sinnett) Hansen on July 11, 1936.
She is the wife of her loving husband of 63 years, John P. Bergholm, Sr.

After raising four boys she went to work at Saint Joseph's Hospital and then Saints Memorial Medical Center, before retiring in 2001. In addition to their daily walks through the neighborhood, John and Marilyn enjoyed traveling, vacationing in Ocean Park, Maine and visiting with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid photographer and she created many scrapbooks to memorialize their travels and other family events. Parker's Maple Barn and Kimball's Ice Cream were two of her favorite places to gather with the family.

In addition to her husband, Marilyn is survived by her four sons; John Jr. of California, William and his wife Christina of Highlands Ranch, CO, Stephen and his wife Rusty of Sandown, NH, and Douglas and his wife Angie of Bridgewater, NH; her eight grandchildren, Sam Bergholm of Denver, CO, Christine Barnes of Las Vegas, NV, Nicholas Barnes and his wife Crystal of Groton, Matthew Bergholm and Marianne Iarossi of Hudson, Cayte Ponte and her husband Nick of Hudson, Brooks Bergholm and his wife Brittney of Manchester, NH, Lindsey Bergholm and Andrew Benton of Holderness, NH, Parker Bergholm and Marin Smith of Keene, NH; three great-grandchildren, Oakley and Palmer Barnes, and Branson Ponte. She also leaves her sister, Jane Gibson and her husband Bob of Chelmsford, and several nieces and nephews, and is preceded in death by her brother Robert Hansen and sister Barbara Naylor.

The family would like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice for their loving care and support.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, on Monday, October 29, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30. Interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
