Obituary for Linda Jean Marchand (Cook)

Linda J. (Cook) Marchand of Chelmsford, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Gerard Marchand with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.

Linda is survived by her daughter Lisa King and her husband John of Hollis, daughter Dianne and her husband Eric Hamilton of Easthampton, and her grandchildren Jeremy, Rayna and Celia King.

She was the daughter of Edith Sanford and the late Paul Cook. She was the sister of Mel Cook.

Linda drew her energy from the outdoors. She loved to hike, bike, canoe, and garden. She also took pleasure in her family, good humor, history, and creating cozy spaces. She retired from a fulfilling occupation in retail where she enjoyed working with the public.

She was born in Lowell on February 5, 1951 and grew up in Tewksbury. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1968 before moving to Chelmsford where she lived for most of her adult life.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 2 to 5 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

Funeral Services and interment will be held privately.
