Obituary for Linda A. Ellis (Poole)

Linda A. (Poole) Ellis, 76, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late William S. “Billy” Ellis with whom she shared 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2015.

She was born in Everett on May 2, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Robie E. and Doris L. (Rice) Poole.

She attended Everett schools, and it was there she met the love of her life. Linda was employed for many years at Santander Bank until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and gardening.

Linda leaves her daughter, Robin Mendonca and her fiancé Richard Demange of Lowell; her grandchildren, Jared Mendonca of Ayer, and Nichole Mendonca of Lowell; her great grandchildren, Rhea Mendonca-Young, and Nathan Starr; her brother, Donald Poole of Haverhill; her sister-in-law, Donna Ferrante of Kennebunk, ME; her brother-in-law, John Ellis of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Poole.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the Central Congregational Church, One Worthen St., Chelmsford. Kindly gather at the Church. Interment will be held privately.
