Obituary for Lea S. Agostino Dagg

Lea Suzanne (Agostino) Dagg, 52, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Malden on April 27, 1970 and was the daughter of Italo Agostino and Marianne Caiazza.

In 1977 Lea and her family moved to Chelmsford where she graduated from Chelmsford High School, attended college at UMass Lowell earning a degree in History and Spanish, and completed her Master’s degree at Leslie University. She was a teacher/coach in the area and at Methuen High School.

Lea loved sports and in particular soccer. She excelled in local, High School, State, and the Olympic Developmental programs and was a founding player of the Women’s League of Massachusetts. As a teacher, Lea led a group of high school students in an exchange program in Sardinia, Italy, where many people remember her caringly to this day.

Lea’s interests ran the gamut from soccer, music, camping, biking, and the beach, but her greatest love was her son Lucas, born in 2006.

She leaves behind her beloved son Lucas Dagg, her husband Bryan Dagg, her mother Marianne Caiazza all of Lowell, and her father Italo Agostino and stepmom Marie of Chelmsford. She also leaves her sister Diana Giacalone, her husband Larry, and their son Jason; her eldest brother Marcus Agostino; her youngest brother Adrian Agostino and his wife Amanda; along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and faithful friends.

The family is forever grateful to all the caregivers who helped Lea during her illness.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 2-5 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 374 Stevens St., Lowell. Interment will be held privately.
