Obituary for Laura M. McDonald (Peverill)

Laura Mae (Peverill) McDonald, a resident of Tyngsboro, died peacefully at D’Youville Senior Care Center, Lowell, on May 12, 2024, at 90 years old. She was the wife of the late Edward McDonald.

She was born in Marblehead, on March 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel (Hornbrook) Peverill. She was a member of The Church of Nazarene, in Lowell.

In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, her many pets, singing, eating shrimp and baking. Above all else, she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her five children, Kenneth of Lawrence, Douglas of Portland, ME, Linda of Pepperell, Amy of Alton, NH, and James of Manchester, NH; her three grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Athena Brackley of Franklin, NH, Erin Brackley of Providence, RI, and Trevor Brackley of Dover, NH; her two great grandchildren, Shaelyn and Trenton Brackley of Franklin, NH and her sister-in-law Carolyn Hirshberg, of North Andover. Laura is also survived by loving, nieces, nephews, cousins, Ron and Gregory and so many friends and extended family.

Sadly, she is predeceased by her loving sister Louise Woodbury.

The family will have a private celebration of life overlooking Mount Monadnock, a mountain all her children have climbed. Donations in her name may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Nashua at hsfn.org.
