Obituary for Kim "Kimmy" Hood
Kim “Kimmy” Hood, age 56, a resident of Lowell, formerly of Chelmsford, unexpectedly and peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
She was born in Yonkers, NY on March 28, 1966 and was the daughter of the late Stephen E. and Frances W. (Horan) Hood.
Kim received a certificate from the Salter School in 2012. She worked for 10 years as a Coding and Billing Specialist for New England PET Imaging System. For the last few years, Kim has devoted many weekends working as an elder companion for Home Instead. Kim was a dedicated loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She could be found cheering them on at many of their sporting events, recitals, graduations and special life moments. Family always came first with Kim. She enjoyed many Cape Cod family vacations, beach days, holidays, birthdays and celebrations with her family. She loved adventurous walks and spending time with her dog Gracie.
Kim is survived by her siblings, Kristin Imperillo and her husband Edward of Chelmsford, Stephen Hood and his wife Maureen of Nashua, Carolyn LaRosa and her husband Charles of Chelmsford; her nieces, Katherine and Sydney; her nephews, Nicholas and his wife Jennifer, Alexander, Steven, Zachary, and Dominic; and many loving relatives.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 4pm to 7pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY GATHER AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
