Obituary for Kenneth J. Muzykewicz
Kenneth J. Muzykewicz, age 70, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at Lawrence General Hospital on Thursday, October 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Clapp) Muzykewicz with whom he enjoyed 46 years of marriage.
He was born in Haverhill on August 03, 1951 and was the son of the late John and Helen (Tracz) Muzykewicz.
Ken was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Tufts University and the University of Wisconsin, where he obtained his masters degree in chemical engineering. He was a longtime employee of Millipore Corporation in Bedford, having retired in 2017. Ken had many loves, starting first and foremost with his family, but also including summers on Cape Cod, traveling with his wife, contributing to his church fellowship, singing in the church choir, playing saxophone in the Chelmsford Community Band and Jazz Band, running, hiking, biking, and tirelessly cheering for his Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Marcy Muzykewicz of Cambridge, MA; his son David Muzykewicz, his daughter-in-law Hillary Muzykewicz, and his three beautiful granddaughters Monroe, McKinley, and Kennedy June Muzykewicz of Allen, TX; and his older brother Paul Muzykewicz of Lowell, MA.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 5th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A memorial will occur the following morning November 6th at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church of Westford, 10 Church St., Westford. Please allow ample time for parking as this can be limited on site. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
