Obituary for Keith D. Grant

Keith D. Grant, 53, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at High Pointe House, Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. Murray with whom he shared 5 years of marriage.

He was born in Concord on March 29, 1969 and was a son of Donald and Carol (Thibault) Grant of Chelmsford.

Keith graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School with a concentration in Electrical Technology. He spent his entire adult life working as an electrician. He was employed at Village Electric for 16 years and most recently, an employee of the Town of Arlington. Keith was an avid motorcyclist. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, fishing, and playing the guitar. He loved being outdoors, working on the yard or in his vegetable garden. A jack-of-all-trades, he was always building or fixing something. He was a generous man and always helped others in need, whether a house repair, a car repair, or stopping to help someone on the side of the road who needed assistance. Some of his most enjoyable times were trips to Boston and York, Maine. He spent a lot of time with his dogs, Mellie and Zeke who were very overprotective of Keith throughout his illness, almost never leaving his side.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, Keith leaves his children, Tiffany Haas and her husband Greg of Pepperell, James Grant of Westford, Timmothy Grant of Chelmsford, and Johnathon Grant of Nashville, NC; his stepchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Justin, and Jenna all of Chelmsford; his grandchildren, Slade and Alice; his siblings, Joel Grant and his wife Deborah of Chelmsford, and Alan Grant and his wife Ashley of Nashua, NH; his parents-in-law, Deborah Winstead and Gary Yakstis, and Marc and Linette Uzzell; his brothers-in-law, Marc Uzzell and his wife and Rebecca, and Peter O’Brien and his wife Christine; and his nieces and nephews, Philip, Victoria, Brooklyn, and Brady.

Sadly, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Gladys Thibault, Ernest Thibault, Donald W. Grant Sr., and Lorraine Grant.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His funeral service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Chelmsford Youth Baseball, PO Box 62, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
