Obituary for Kathryn A. Stefaniak (Lundberg)

Kathryn A. (Lundberg) Stefaniak, 65, a recent resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Medford on February 20, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Murray) Lundberg.

Kathy was raised in Burlington and attended Burlington Public Schools. She was married to Frederick for 28 years and resided in Salem, NH. Her life as a homemaker was full of activities with her daughter Katelyn. She volunteered for many organizations including Girl Scouts, PTA and the Salem Womens Club. Kathy enjoyed gardening and decorating her home as well as vacationing with her family to York Beach, ME. Her last job was as a home health aide where she showed compassion and care to her clients. Kathy had a ‘heart of gold’ and was generous with her love and attention to all of her friends and family.

Kathy leaves her husband, Frederick Stefaniak of Derry, NH, her daughter Katelyn Stefaniak of Brighton, MA, her step-son, Kevin Stefaniak and his fiancé Stephanie Raboin of Derry NH. She also leaves her granddaughters Rylee Macloon of Leominster, MA, Madison Raboin of Windham, NH, Brinley Stefaniak and Lacey Stefaniak of Derry, NH. She also leaves her sister, Christine MacKinnon of Chelmsford, MA and brother, Paul Lundberg and his wife, Suzanne Lundberg of Tewksbury, MA.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Helen and Harold Lundberg, her brother, Peter Lundberg and her brother-in-law, Edward MacKinnon.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. MASKS ARE KINDLY REQUIRED. Funeral services and interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in Kathryn’s name to the National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org.
