Obituary for Kathleen A. Adams (Mitchell)
Kathleen Ann (Mitchell) Adams, age 69, a longtime resident of Derry, passed away at home on Friday, May 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Henry Adams with whom she enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on August 5, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Lavoie) Mitchell. Daughter in-law to the late Henry & Angie Adams.
I (Sherry) would fill in some info here on her education and employment, but I’m not going to do that! She would absolutely hate that with a passion! She would want me to tell you that she had 55 AMAZING and CRAZY years with Henry.
Then she would tell you that she was always proud of me but especially proud of me for making a huge career change at this point of life and loving every second of it.
Then onto her SPECIALS: Justin and Savannah. Justin, she would say how very proud she is that you followed your passion of basketball and becoming a game warden and are working so hard toward that goal. She would say oh wow I remember taking care of him as a baby and those were some of the best moments of my life! You are her “little” Justie-lulu and always will be!
Savannah, she would say just what an amazing, smart and sassy young lady you have become. She would also tell Savannah how much of a character she is. It’s been so wonderful watching you grow from day one! The true passion of everything you do and thrive with are just inspiring and amazing. Your latest passion with volleyball has been quite amazing to watch, please continue your passions! You are her “little” girl and always will be!
In addition to her loving husband, Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Sherry Adams-Dunne and her husband, Thomas. Her grandchildren, the absolute loves of her life: Justin and Savannah Dunne. Her loving sister, Linda McAdams and husband Kenneth. Her loving brother, Paul Mitchell and wife Gail. Her loving in-laws: Deb & John Charters, Sandy & Jim Lewis, Ken & Sue Adams and Ray & Donna Adams. Nieces and nephews: Tina (McAdams) & Dale LeClair, Greg & Tanya McAdams, Jen (Mitchell) & John Wise, Kris & Jen Lewis, Eric Charters, Jamie Adams, Christy (Charters) & Jeremy Kervin, Keith & Stephanie Charters, Derek & Julie Adams, Dan & Alicia Adams, and Kayli Adams. Along with many other family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Kathy’s wishes were for everyone to wear happy colors and celebrate the very happy life she had. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to her GoFundMe Page or directly to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
