Kam Bor Lee, age 85, a resident of Ayer, and formerly a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Sylvia Chien Mei (Kuo) Lee with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

He was born in Canton, China, on June 3, 1935 and was a son of the late Lee Bak Kin and Chan Kwok Hing.

Kam Bor grew up in Hong Kong and moved to England to attend college where he earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield. Upon graduation he started working for Cabot Corporation where he worked his entire career. Cabot brought him to the US and Chelmsford, MA where he raised his family and resided for over 40 years. He travelled the world building Carbon Black manufacturing plants for Cabot and has many patents. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed travelling, watching the RedSox, solving Suduko puzzles and time with his family. He loved his family, working on his car and fixing anything. He also enjoyed his two grandchildren and loved to attend their sports games, band, chorus and dance recitals as well as helping with their homework, especially when it was math.

In addition to his loving wife, Kam Bor leaves his sons; Dr. Conrad Lee and his wife Rebecca Foulkes (Bow, NH), Willard Lee and his wife Linda Zilembo Lee (Groton, MA), 3 sisters Selina Lee (HK), Peggy Chow (Australia), Elaine Chan (HK), 2 Grandchildren Jacob Lee and Juliana Lee (Groton, MA) and his closest niece and nephew Alice Lee (Lincoln, MA) and Jonathan Leong (NY, NY).

Sadly he is predeceased by his fourth sister Edith Lo.

Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association at or 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
