Obituary for Julia Durso (Maganzini)

Julia (Maganzini) Durso, 86, a resident of Chelmsford, and former longtime resident of Billerica and Medford, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen J. Durso.

Julia was born in Giustino, Italy on November 21, 1932, a daughter of the late Valentino and Constanza (Antenolli) Maganzini.

A devout Catholic, Julia had been a longtime communicant of St. Theresa's Church in Billerica before moving to Chelmsford. While in Chelmsford she would attend Mass at St. Mary's Church.

Prior to her retirement, Julia had worked as an assembler for Baird Electronics.

She loved to be with all of her family and cherished her time spent with them.

Julia is survived by her devoted son, Nicholas Durso and his wife Ann of Chelmsford; her grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Daniel and Stephanie Durso; her great grandson, Hunter; her brothers, Benjamin and Walter Maganzini; her sister Alice McNeil, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Gino Maganzini an Valentina Curran.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 25 North Rd., CHELMSFORD. Internment and committal prayers will be held at 1 o'clock at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge.
