Obituary for Julia A. Cronin (DiMambro)
Julia A. "Julie," "Nana," (DiMambro) Cronin, 86, a resident of Chelmsford since 1962, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday December 22, 2018. She was the wife of the late John J. Cronin Jr.
She was born in Medford on January 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Ashman) DiMambro.
Julia was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Chelmsford.
Prior to her retirement in 1993, Julia had worked at Page's Drug Store as a card and gift manager and buyer. She later worked as a special needs bus monitor for Town and Country Transportation in Chelmsford.
Mrs. Cronin is survived by her loving children, John J. Cronin III and his wife, Nelda, of Chelmsford, Eileen Flannery of Claremont, N.H., and Colleen Lafortune and her husband, Raymond, of Hudson, NH; six grandchildren, Michael Flannery, John Flannery, John J. Cronin, Raymond Lafortune, Jr., Timothy Lafortune and Matthew Lafortune; six great-grandchild, Tyler, Dawson, Danica, Caleb, Gavin and Arianna and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Dominic DiMambro, George DiMambro and Paul Franki.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
