Obituary for Judith May "Judy" Hill (Floyd)

Judith May “Judy” (Floyd) Hill, 85, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She succumbed to her lengthy challenge with heart failure at High Pointe Hospice House, where her loving family remained vigil. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Hill.

Judy was born on May 22, 1935 in Arlington, MA, and was a daughter of the late Ernest Floyd and Elva (Whittaker) Floyd O’Brien. She moved to Chelmsford in 1967. She still lived in the same home she raised her family. Judy worked as Librarian at the Charles D. Harrington School for 37 years. She loved working in her vegetable garden, bird watching, reading books, trips to Maine and volunteering with friends at the Stoneham Theatre.

She is survived by her sons; Stephen Hill and his wife Tina of West Springfield and Jeffrey Hill and his partner Eileen Brickey of Billerica, her daughter, Leslie Peterson of Billerica. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Sadly, she is predeceased by both of her siblings.
