Obituary for Judith A. Fitzgerald (Stearns)

Judith A. (Stearns) Fitzgerald, 81, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at Westford House on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late James Fitzgerald.

She was born in Malden on May 13, 1939 and was the daughter of the late George and Yvonne (Stearns) Dahlberg.
Judy attended schools in Malden and graduated from Malden High School. She was also a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She was employed in advertising at the Lowell Sun and later worked as a Real Estate agent for Coldwell Banker in the Chelmsford area. For many years, Judy owned and operated Barnes House Bed and Breakfast in Lowell. She was a member of the Hibernian Club in Lowell. Her greatest love was the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her son David Hayden and his wife Anne of Chelmsford, her granddaughters; Kathryn Harrington and her husband Robert of Chelmsford, Alexandra Hayden of Chelmsford and Deanna Hayden of Fredrick, MD, her daughter, Robin Petitpas and her husband Richard, her sisters; Janine King and her husband Ronald, Georgia Dahlberg and Joyce Dahlberg and her wife Judith Owens. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 25 at 11 am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Kindly meet at the church. Interment will be held Thursday, March 25 at 1 pm at Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest St., Malden.
