Obituary for Josephine Mary Lutz (Cotoni)
Josephine M. (Cotoni) Lutz, 74, a resident of Chelmsford, formerly of Waltham and Watertown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dale A. Lutz with whom she shared 48 years of marriage until his passing in 2020.
She was born in Watertown on January 31, 1949, and was a daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (Messina) Cotoni.
Josephine was raised in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. She worked for many years at Quirk Tire in Watertown until her retirement in 2010.
Josephine leaves her brother, Michael Cotoni and his wife Heidi Cotoni of Kingston, NH; along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her loving husband, Josephine was predeceased by her mother, Angelina (Messina) Cotoni, her father, Michael Cotoni, and her sister, Angelina Fasano.
Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her name to either of her favorite charities, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at danafarber.jimmyfund.org and Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
