Obituary for John James Polychrones Jr.
John J. Polychrones, Jr., age 40, a longtime resident of Billerica, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Cambridge on September 29, 1981 and was the son of John J. Polychrones, Sr. and the late Nancy C. (Carceo) Polychrones.
John went to Chelmsford High School (Class of 1999) and Middlesex Community College. He worked at Walgreens for over ten years. He loved nights out with his friends, singing Karaoke and watching his favorite bands. He also loved to bowl, and was in a league for many years.
John is survived by his father, John Polychrones, Sr., Diane Gillis, his sisters; Nicole Polychrones of Chelmsford, and Andrea Polychrones, formerly of Chelmsford, his brother-in-law Michael, and his two nieces. He also had many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Leonard and Rose (DiMilia) Carceo, and Arthur and Mary (Kenis) Polychrones.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 4pm to 8pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Irene’s Parish, 181 East St., Carlisle. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to TeamWalk for Cancer Care, Lowell General Hospital at teamwalk.org.
