Obituary for John Timothy Kerwin

John Timothy Kerwin sent his energy back to the stars on September 16, 2022. He was 70 years old.

He was born in Boston, the youngest of Clayton and Cora (Cote)’s seven children.

He worked as a soils lab and field technician for Goldberg Zoino and Associates, in Newton, MA until his retirement in 1992.

John loved music, especially live blues performances. He enjoyed art, and spent time plein air painting with his N-10 friends. He was an avid baseball fan, and enjoyed listening to the Red Sox on the radio. He found peace through meditation. He will be remembered for his quick wit and indomitable spirit in the face of physical challenges.

John leaves Sandra (Hokinson) Kerwin, his devoted wife of 46 years; his sisters Mary Kerwin, Patricia O’Connell and Kathleen Arcangeli; and many, much loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephew.

A memorial gathering will be held at a future date.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Playing for Change Foundation, a global nonprofit organization offering creative opportunities for marginalized and at-risk youth, https://playingforchange.org/
