Obituary for Joan E. Pomper (Lovett)

Joan E. (Lovett) (Tenaglier) Pomper, age 85, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Bridges of Nashua, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Pomper with whom she shared 28 years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

She was born on January 5, 1935 in Lowell, and was a daughter of the late Alden and Helen (Sager) Lovett.

She was raised in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School and Lowell General School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she worked at Floating Hospital for Children in Boston, and for Lowell General Hospital for many years until her retirement. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed birds and camping with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who most of all cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Joan leaves her children; Rod Tenaglier and his loving companion Linda Williams of Nashua, NH, and Cheryl Netto and her husband Darryl of Venice, FL, her step children Judith Pomper and her partner Edmund McSweeney of Hollis, NH, Dennis Pomper of Portsmouth, NH, and Stephen Pomper and his wife Carol of MD, her grandchildren; Anthony Tenaglier, Christopher Tenaglier, and Kyle Lind, her sister Eleanor Campbell and her husband Walter of Londonderry, NH, and her former husband Keldon Tenaglier of Townsend. Joan also leaves a large loving extended family and her friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. For the safety of all, social distancing measures will be in place and face coverings kindly required. Her Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/manh.
