Obituary for James Stanley Suslowicz

James Stanley Suslowicz, age 63, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

He was born in Lowell on April 12, 1960 and was the son of the late Edward B. and Anna (Lebednik) Suslowicz.

James enjoyed life growing up in Lowell. He enlisted in the Marines after graduating from Lowell High School. His time in the Marines brought him to many places throughout the world. He often spoke passionately of all the places he had been. He had a lifelong passion for cooking. In his younger years he was often employed in the kitchens of local establishments. He also volunteered at the Saint Mary soup kitchen in Chelmsford. He loved to try new flavors and recipes. Jim was employed as a fabrication operator at IMI, Inc. in Haverhill for 24 years. He enjoyed many hobbies including astronomy, photography, and music. He was a train enthusiast, capturing many images of train designs and building model trains and landscapes. He adored his niece and nephew and would talk about them often.

James is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Charlene Suslowicz of Chelmsford, his nephew, Christopher of Chelmsford, and his niece, Anna of Framingham who he fondly called Peanut. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 9th from 9am to 11am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11am following the visitation. Interment will be held privately.
