DRACUT – James C. “Jamie” Soulos, of Dracut and formerly of Chelmsford, announces his passing after a long life of illnesses, at the age of 54.

James was born in Boston on November 4, 1964 and was the son of the late George D. Soulos and Julia N. Soulos of Chelmsford.

James will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Theodore W. Soulos of Chelmsford, a niece, Alyssa M. Blanchard of Tyngsboro, a nephew, Nicholas Lee Soulos of Brookline, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and caretakers.

James was a Chelmsford native and attended Chelmsford Public Schools where he shined his infectious smile and shared his abundant willingness to make people smile and be happy and comfortable.

James enjoyed multiple trips to Greece and cruises to the Caribbean throughout his years. He also enjoyed frequent group activities and events with his family, friends and the staff of the group homes where he lived in Chelmsford and Dracut.

A private celebration for his family and friends will be held at a later date.

TO MY BROTHER JAMES

Our memories are what we have left,
And lessons we will not forget.

The time has come when time is no more
And all that’s left was once before.

The memories so dear and true,
Those memories of me and you.

Although we fell and stumbled at times,
All those hills were necessary climbs.

All the times when your smiles from heart shined through
Are the greatest memories I have of you.

I will always remember and honor you, brother of mine.
In my heart I will keep you, so I will be fine.

But in my heart you will be,
Moving us forward, you with me.
