James R. McKeon, Jr. age 67, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at High Pointe House, Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Donna L (Curseaden) McKeon with whom he shared 43 years of marriage before her passing in 2017.
He was born on February 1, 1953 in Lowell, MA and was a son of the late James R. Sr., and Florence (Billingsley) McKeon.
He was raised in Lowell and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School with the Class of 1970. He then went on to become a Master Electrician and a Lieutenant on the Lowell Fire Department. After his service on the Lowell Fire Department, he continued as an electrician until his retirement in 2017. He was an avid sports fan closely following the Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family.
James leaves his children; Kerry McKeon of Chelmsford, MA James R. McKeon, III and his wife Anne of Indianapolis, IN and Nicholas J. McKeon of Alexandria, VA, his grandchildren; Aaron Roshia, Kelsey Carrabba, Nathan McKeon, and Tristan McKeon, his siblings; Barbara Burgess of NH, Martha Steinke of OH, Maureen McKeon of CA, and Kevin McKeon of MA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, July 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately.
