George Mallios, 51, of Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully after a hard and long fight with glioblastoma, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
George was born in Chicago, IL on May 15, 1970, the son of the late Nicholaos G. Mallios and Adamantia (Lambrou) Mallios who survives him.
George was raised in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1988 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. He served as a Guard to the United States Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria and Helsinki, Finland as well as other countries in Europe and Asia. Upon his Honorable discharge he attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
In 2005 he entered the Police Academy and served as a Police officer in Chicago, IL and later on in Manchester, NH.
He was a sports advocate, loved all the Chicago teams. Loved to play tennis and all sports with his children. He was an amazing father and always put his boys first. He believed in taking the time to better yourself physically and academically.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife Sarah and his four sons, Nikolas (13), Demetri (10), Luca (3) and Leo (1), his mother Adamantia Mallios, two sisters; Eleni Xifaras and her husband George and their children Samuel and Paulina Xifaras and Connie Calderon and her husband Peter and their children Sophia, Joseph and Nicholas Calderon, father in-law Edward Bruce and mother in-law Deanna Bruce and two brothers in-law; Keith Bruce and his wife Lori Luther, and Joseph Bruce.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 25th at 12:00pm at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 71 Chandler Road, Andover MA, 01810. Those attending are asked to kindly meet at the church. Interment will be held privately.
