Obituary for Frances June Chenard (Swift)
Frances June Chenard, a longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. June was the beloved wife of Marcel Chenard who died in 1997.
She was born in Lawrence, MA on June 25, 1930 and was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Beaulieu) Swift.
June was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Lawrence. She retired several years ago from NRT Transportion in Methuen, where she spent many years driving a school bus for children with special needs. June enjoyed bingo, knitting and in her free time she would knit hats for donation to hospice patients and the staff. During the holidays she would knit stuffed animals for the children on her bus. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her children; Albert Chenard of Methuen, Donald Chenard of Methuen, Debra Hennigan and her husband William of Florida and Doreen Gilbert of Methuen. June is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her children William Chenard, Robert Chenard, Peter Chenard, June Martin, Paul Chenard and Richard Chenard.
June was an animal lover and to honor this appreciation the family has asked that donations in her memory be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, MSPCA-Angell Attn: Donations 350 S. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130
