Obituary for Elsie May Wilson (Turner)
Elsie May (Turner) Wilson, 84, a longtime resident of Westford, MA passed away peacefully on July 17, 2022, surrounded by family members at her beloved “camp” in Alexandria, NH. Elsie was born on April 4, 1938, in Salem, NH, and was the daughter of the late Howard and Ruth (Kimball) Turner.
She is survived by her loving husband, David J. Wilson, Jr., of 65 years. In addition to her husband, Elsie is survived by her devoted children, Douglas Wilson and his wife Linda of Merrimack, NH, and Dean Wilson and his wife Marilu of Bedford, NH. Elsie was also a devoted grandmother to many grandchildren including, Nicholas Wilson and wife Michelle of Merrimack, NH, Nathan Wilson and wife Kasey of Manchester, NH, Daniel Wilson of Merrimack, NH, Brendan Wilson and wife Caroline of Westford, MA, and Sean Wilson and Ryan Wilson of Bedford, NH. Additionally, Elsie was a proud great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren who melted her heart: Emma, Race, Shelby, and Natalie Wilson. She was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Turner Lott and Marilyn Turner Campbell.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, MA. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church, 242 Main St., North Chelmsford, MA. Kindly meet at Church. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Elsie’s name to either WCUMC (the church) at 242 Main St. North Chelmsford, MA 01863 and/or to support Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) research under the direction of Dr. Vikram Khurana at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Memorial gifts can be made online at www.bwhgiving.org or written checks can be made payable to Brigham and Women's Hospital with “in memory of Elsie Wilson” in the memo line.
